It all started with a cookie. In 1980, three young surfers from Southern California were trying to decide what to do with their lives. They decided to start a cookie company and named it Maui’s Chocolate Chip Cookies. Their small business didn't last long. When they burned their first batch of cookies, they turned their attention to designing surf fashion. Maui and Sons became an instant hit! And the cookie? It became the inspiration for the Maui and Sons logo. To this day, Maui has sold over 2,000,000 boards worldwide, i.e., pennyboards, cruisers, longboards, and skateboards. Maui and Sons is a skate & surf specialist. Maui also includes other skate brands, namely X-Caliber (founded in 1976 in California) and Jimmy’Z (founded in 1984 in California)
