Box-end boards
This category includes all decks that have a so-called box-end shape, meaning a squared-off deck end. This is the primary criterion used to assign decks to either the street deck or park deck subcategory.
However, the world is complex, and not all box-end decks are automatically street decks. For example, a 520 mm long box-end deck might be considered a street deck by a rider who is 150 cm tall, while a rider who is 180 cm tall might consider the same deck to be more of a park deck, regardless of the fact that it is a so-called box-end deck. Many decks have a clear classification, i.e., Park deck or Street deck, but for others, it is not as straightforward. Therefore, we prefer to stick to clear criteria referring to the deck shape, i.e., Box-end and Peg-cut. The Street and Park descriptors are then more of an auxiliary nature.
Unwritten rule: So-called box-end / street decks have more universal use than park decks. In other words, there are more riders who use box-end decks for both street and park riding than the other way around.
When choosing a deck, please pay attention to the wheel width. Wheels are manufactured in different widths; make sure in advance that the chosen wheel width will be compatible with your deck.
